One of my DECISIONS this year is to continue to keep track of my daily income and expenses.
I started this way back when I was in secondary school.
But along the line, it appeared I relaxed my resolve about it.
However, this year I resolved to be more intentional about it.
Then came this wonderful experience yesterday being Monday 4th of January.
It was only about 9am, breakfast time when expenses started knocking on my door of my wallet.
Off course I had to open the door. It was necessary.
Later in the day, other “friends and relatives of expenses” started to show up. The knock was hard.
At first I didn’t want to open my wallet.
But while I yet resisted, they pounced on me and pulled down the door.
I started spending.
At night, I usually reconcile my financial record- all incoming and outgoing cash for the day.
When I was done, I didn’t know when both of my hands journeyed to the roof of my head and I exclaimed:
“blood of God”
Guess what happened?
I had already used up more than 60% of my total income for the day.
It was alarming.
I didn’t plan my finances properly.
I felt bad.
But I learnt the vital lesson-

Did you learn something from this experience?
Have splendid day!
