One of the things that has helped boost my income right from 2018 till now is the fact that I sell digital products but I discovered a lot of mistakes in the process which are being corrected and improvements are daily going on.
I won’t want you to make same mistake especially if you are about to create and launch another digital product.
Oh my bad, for those who don’t have an idea of what a digital product simply means, a digital product are packaged information solutions in electronic formats e.g online courses, ebooks, online trainings, workbooks etc.
Back to my gist, so what are these MISTAKES I made in the past which I want you to avoid;
Creating Assumptions As Digital Products
I remember creating an online course on how school teachers could break out of financial crisis and in mind it will bring in millions but it didn’t even pay NEPA light bills.
I LEARNT this in the hard way, don’t create what people don’t need. You must validate your digital product idea first in the market place.
Find out if that idea is something people are really hungry to grab and pay for.
There is a free video course I am going to be sending to a group of people who indicated interest. The course is on how to plan your next 12 months. Even when it was free I decided to ask my WhatsApp broadcast list in order to validate the hunger for it and I found out people were already asking me how much when I am yet to create the course.
This is how you make sales consistently from just one digital product. You don’t need to create millions of digital products. One can make you tons of money when you focus on the pain points of a specific market.
SELLING TO STRANGERS
Imagine a forex trader sends you a message on WhatsApp and sells his course to you? Will you buy?
Yes if you know the person and have gotten value from his free content on forex trading. No if he is a total stranger.
So why do you think a total stranger on your Facebook timeline or WhatsApp will just buy from you? Even family and friends will buy from you when they have been stroke with irresistible value.
I always advice my clients who want to create, launch and sell their digital products consistently, master the art of content creation not for yourself alone but for building the KNOW, LIKE and TRUST factor.
People will buy from you when they KNOW, LIKE and TRUST you.
There are more but let me stop here. Remember, just one digital product can generate consistent sales for you once you avoid these MISTAKES.
